Yearbook Yourself

When I began this blog over five years ago, I made a secret vow to myself that I would NEVER, EVER, write a blog about blogging.

I'm still not going to. But I am going to say that the purpose of this blog is to keep a record of life and creativity and writing for my children to remember our family by. It is not to impress anyone or to feel good about myself or base my self esteem on how many comments I receive. It is for the children. And also, I love to write. And I want to be an example of creativity for them.

And sometimes, you see that you're rubbing off on them. That they like funny things. And art. And photographs. I had a good laugh looking at what Jackson left on the desktop. These pictures were made by Jackson on the website yearbookyourself.com. I put them on the blog because this is definitely something I want to remember. Plus, this may be as close to a senior yearbook picture they get since they'll probably get home school pictures taken by their uncool mom when they graduate.

Also, Jackson started a blog: screensandheadphones.blogspot.com. Congratulations! Will you sign my yearbook? Stay cool! Love ya like a sister! We love the 80's! Pumps with socks! Sweater vests! Sorry so sloppy! Class of '95! Go Scorps!

Hey, that's how I (don't) do it, too!

You forgot "Peace, love, and Donna Reed." :) I'm pretty sure I still have some sort of documentation with those words on it...somewhere.

Love reading your blog, Julie! You are so talented!
